Senior Maintenance Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the maintenance of the incineration plant to ensure smooth operations.
• Define the scope of planned maintenance shutdowns.
• Focus on managing the steam turbine system and wastewater treatment installation.
• Act as the contact person for regulatory inspection bodies and be knowledgeable about repair methods and pressure vessel requirements.
• Play a key role in optimizing maintenance through data analysis and initiating improvement measures.
• Optimize the long-term maintenance plan and advise on replacement investment planning.
• Serve as a consultant and technical specialist for revisions, projects, and maintenance organization during modifications and optimizations.
• Guide and act as a contact for studies and research conducted by external parties.

Requirements

• Completed technical education at Bachelor level.
• Willingness to pursue additional training.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, and/or mechatronics engineering, with experience in reliability engineering.
• Ability to independently or collaboratively perform RCA and FMECA analyses.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written (they know about your current skills)
• Open for South African candidates as well (speaking Afrikaans)
