Junior Instrumentation Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• As a Junior Instrumentation Engineer, you will support the successful execution of various multidisciplinary projects. These projects include modifications, upgrades of existing installations, and new builds, ranging from feasibility study to detailed design and construction support.
• Assist with the design and documentation of electrical and instrumentation installations within projects.
• Contribute to engineering activities by preparing calculations, drafting and updating electrical and instrumentation diagrams (circuit diagrams, instrument loops, and P&IDs).
• Help prepare technical specifications for new equipment based on defined technical and functional requirements.
• Support senior engineers during the implementation phase by coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
• Gain exposure to client and stakeholder interactions, while learning about project scope, planning, and budget responsibilities.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electromechanics, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships or junior roles in instrumentation/electrical engineering are a plus).
• Interest in working on FEED and detailed engineering packages. Interest in design work.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn.
• Willingness to visit clients and develop towards an independent role.
• Living in the Netherlands or Belgium (or planning to relocate).
