Electrical Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• You work on the design of complex electrical installations, from low-voltage systems to complex systems for large consumers. You are part of a multidisciplinary team and work closely with other disciplines such as construction, mechanical engineering and process engineering.
• Quality control and responsibility:
• You are responsible for the quality of your own design, which is checked by the Lead Engineer. In addition, you manage the hourly budget for your part of the project, together with the agreed planning
• Independent projects and collaboration:
• For smaller projects, you are the point of contact for the customer and you work independently on the design. You manage an electrical designer and ensure the coordination of the activities within your project
• Advising and reporting:
• You support the Lead Engineer with technical advice and the preparation of technical descriptions and cost estimates. Signaling changes in the scope is a natural part of your job
• Project coordination:
• You help with the coordination of electrical installations, including lighting, earthing, lightning protection, tracing and communication systems

Requirements

• You have completed a higher professional or university education in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical direction
• You have at least 2 years of experience in Electrical or Energy Engineering, preferably in industry
• You have knowledge of Dutch standards in the field of Electrical Engineering, in particular the NEN1010
• You have an affinity or knowledge of working with a contractor is a requirement
• You have knowledge of current electrical engineering concepts and unit prices
• You are able to solve complex issues and translate them into practical solutions
• Communicative and cooperative:
• You have good communication skills and work easily with colleagues and customers in both Dutch and English
• Solution-oriented and flexible:
• You have a pragmatic and flexible attitude and can quickly switch to find the best solution for the challenges in each project
