MSAT Scientist Cell & Biochemistry

Responsibilities

• As MSAT Scientist you support analytical technology transfer activities between internal sites and external Contract Research Organizations (CROs)
• You develop, improve, and validate analytical methods in compliance with regulatory requirements for both existing and new production processes. 
• You conduct analytical testing on non-routine samples to support process development activities from the Downstream Processing (DSP) and Upstream Processing (USP) teams. 
• You perform characterization testing on biopharmaceutical products using a range of bioanalytical techniques. 
• You troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods to support QC laboratories and CRO partners. 
• You identify and evaluate opportunities to implement new analytical technologies. 
• You provide analytical expertise for the preparation of regulatory dossiers, participation in inspections, and responses to regulatory inquiries. 
• You write comprehensive and high-quality study protocols and reports for method validation, transfer, qualification, comparability, and bridging studies. 
• You present analytical results and findings at internal team meetings and cross-functional forums. 
• You support the transfer or knowledge and training of analytical methods across departments and teams. 
• You maintain and communicate critical documentation and analytical knowledge effectively. 
• You perform data trending and method monitoring to ensure analytical methods remain reliable and effective. 
• you conduct root cause investigations related to analytical deviations to drive continuous improvement. 

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or equivalent through experience. 
• Hands-on experience with cell-based assays, enzymatic assays, and protein binding methods. 
• Knowledge of spectroscopic techniques (e.g., SoloVPE, CD, DLS). 
• Experience with method transfer, qualification, and validation. 
• Skilled in statistical analysis and interpretation of method performance. 
• Experience with automated liquid handlers (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, Andrew) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Excellent knowledge of cGMP and regulatory compliance. 
• Comfortable with both laboratory work and data analysis. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong technical writing and communication skills. 
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
