Work as a Work preparator – Robert Snoek

I’m Robert Snoek, 45 years old, and at present I work at Neste Oil as a Planner/Work preparator E/I.

I am responsible for the daily detailing of the work to be conducted in the E/I field, including the creation of work packages. This also includes scheduling and supervising various contractors. Examples include ABB, van Ginkel, Protec and Stedin. In cooperation with the Piping/Mechanical & Rotating department, we ensure that all parties involved can safely perform the work planned.

My work as a planner/work preparator is incredibly challenging and demanding. I am a bit like a spider in a web, because I’m not only responsible for work being carried out correctly, but also for the materials and instruments that need to be ordered, the management and supervision of vendors and the short lines of communication with the disciplines at the Neste site. In short, it’s a very dynamic job!
