To be the technical reference on site for the Civil Work Contractors’ supervisors
Guide and lead the CW contractor(s)
Coordinate CW site activities, in full accordance with the overall site activities.
Lead the weekly meetings with the Civil Contractor and write the minutes of meeting
Prepare and participate at the weekly DSEC coordination meetings
Establish and update the detailed execution schedule, based upon the project general time schedule
Follow-up of the progress, and report any delays to the DSEC Site Manager
Supervise the quality of the works; all non-conformities detected need to be reported to the QA/QC Manager who will issue and follow the non-conformity Report.
Check and approve the contractors’ execution methods, together with the DSEC HSSE team and Construction Site Manager
Revise the Method statement and Civil Work Procedure of the Civil Work Contractor(s)
Undertake inspections of all aspects of the Civil Work Contractor (s) work and record these accordingly.
Day-to-day follow up of the site, including supervising and monitoring work of Civil Work contractor.
Supervise the quality of the works; all non-conformities need to be reported to the site QA/QC Manager
Provide the QA/QC Manager with the necessary information to issue a non-conformity report if and when the executed works aren’t as specified in the technical documents, or up to the required standards.
Assist the DSEC Site Manager in preparing such documents and information as is necessary for the weekly and monthly meetings, and the monthly progress reports.
Fulfil any other reasonable roles and duties that the DSEC Site Manager may require as the project progresses.
Propose solutions to any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise and submit it for approval to the DSEC Site Manager and Project Engineer.
Prepare the hand-over / site readiness documents between the civil work contractor(s) and the different contractors
Inspect the executed civil works and establish the hand over and follow-up the snagging lists at the end of the works
Requirements
To manage and anticipate the sequence of activities of the Civil Work Contractor and the coactivity works with the other discipline contractors.
To propose solution to unexpected technical difficulty to the DSEC Site Manager and DSEC Project Engineer for approval.
The DSEC Civil Work Supervisor is not allowed to instruct directly the Civil Work Contractor without approval of the DSEC Site Manager and DSEC Project Engineer for any action leading to a change of technical concept.
The DSEC Civil Work Supervisor is not allowed to instruct directly the Civil Work Contractor without approval of the DSEC Site Manager for any action inducing a change of scope with a financial impact.
