Standardization Engineer Mechanical

• As Standardization Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department standardization team.
• Your role is to ensure uniformity and efficiency in components and methods, contributing to cost savings, risk mitigation, and shorter project lead times.
• You will work closely with engineers from various projects, ensuring alignment with standardization goals.
• Your focus will be on mechanical, structural, and outfitting engineering, collaborating with multiple disciplines to create and maintain yard and project standards.
• Key accountabilities
• As Standardization Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Create and maintain 2D drawings of standardized components, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements, manufacturability, weight considerations, ergonomics, and safety regulations.
• Manage and update standardization data within the PDM system.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams.
• Conduct technical discussions with suppliers and classification societies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• MBO-4 (secondary vocational education) in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• At least three years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong team player with an eye for accuracy and efficiency.
• Experience with CAD systems, preferably MicroStation.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
• Compensation range for this payroll position:
• €4.500 to €6.500 gross per month based on fulltime (40 hours) work and excl. holiday allowance etc.
