Senior Structural Hull Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and engineering solutions that meet high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability.
• Select methods and procedures, execute the work, and optimize designs within the scope of specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, company standards, industry regulations, and applicable legislation.
• Proactively plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Ensure proper coordination of interfaces between systems and disciplines.
• Deliver the assigned scope of work in accordance with contractual and internal project requirements.
• Apply lessons learned and understand the impact of changes across project system boundaries.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties in line with contractual and internal requirements.
• May be assigned as Package Engineer with responsibility for design, procurement, and manufacturing of technical packages.
• Lead and support engineers within the assigned scope of work.
• May act as Discipline Lead for a designated scope of work.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry or similar heavy industry environment.
• Experience with engineering design and calculation tools.
• Experience with FEMAP. 
• Knowledge of concept development, detailed design, and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience with structural engineering.
• Understanding of reliability, operability, and safety principles.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
