Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire EPC lifecycle, from planning and design to procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the client, engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Define project goals, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Engineering Management
  • Oversee the design and engineering process, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate between engineering teams to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  • Procurement
  • Develop and manage procurement strategies to secure materials, equipment, and subcontractors in line with the project timeline.
  • Ensure cost efficiency and contract compliance during procurement activities.
  • Construction Management
  • Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Monitor contractor performance and address delays or deviations from the project scope.
  • Stakeholder Communication
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
  • Prepare regular project status reports, addressing risks, progress, and key milestones.
  • Budget and Risk Management
  • Monitor and control project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Finnish building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to secure permits and approvals.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing EPC projects, preferably in industrial or energy-related construction.
  • Previous experience with pilot plants, renewable energy, or graphite/chemical production projects is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Familiarity with Finnish construction laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green energy technologies.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Finnish or Swedish is a strong advantage.
