Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, budget, timeline and quality from A to Z.
• Coordinate basic and detailed engineering, execution and start-up activities, involving both internal and external teams.
• Take responsibility for project layout, define and validate process parameters with Production and R&D colleagues, and provide input for P&IDs and design activities.
• Manage and monitor the process-related scope within assigned projects.
• Ensure a strong focus on safety, ergonomics, automation, maintenance and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department for components and services.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate site activities and project execution.
• Organise the commissioning phase.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, chemical or metallurgical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum degree level: Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an end-to-end Project Manager within multidisciplinary projects or within one of the above-mentioned disciplines.
• Experience managing EPCM contractors from the client side.
• Relevant industry experience, preferably in the chemical, metallurgical or machine-building sector.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Engineer within one of the above-mentioned disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Strong technical insight.
• Positive mindset and strong team orientation.
• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Hands-on mentality and strong safety awareness.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluency in Dutch is required.
• VCA-VOL certification.
• Project management certification is a strong plus.
• Dutch: fluent.
• Other languages are considered a plus.
