Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Operate as a highly autonomous Project Manager.
• Report directly to the Hiring Manager.
• Interface with on-site stakeholders, including designers and technical authorities providing P&IDs and engineering input.
• Gather and understand technical challenges, coordinate with subject matter experts, translate findings into practical solutions and project execution plans.
• Develop scopes of work and obtain quotations, often before detailed engineering studies have been completed.
• Drive projects from concept through execution in a pragmatic and hands-on manner.

• This is a demanding role requiring strong PM skills, technical credibility, independence, and excellent stakeholder management.
• A thorough screening process is essential, as both technical fit and personal fit with the hiring manager are critical.
• The hiring manager understands that strong candidates are typically already employed and is willing to consider suitable professionals who may have a notice period.
• Monday to Friday position with flexible working hours, while maintaining the commitment required to deliver the projects successfully.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, with a solid understanding of the PM role and associated responsibilities.
• Strong preference for candidates with a Mechanical or Electrical background rather than Civil Engineering.
• Experience in brownfield industrial environments is highly desirable.
• Candidates based in or near the Antwerp region are preferred.
