Responsibilities

  • As Project Engineer Sustainability, you identify, evaluate, and follow up on potential sustainability projects within clinical manufacturing. 
  • You collaborate closely with various internal departments, as well as external partners, to collect and analyze sustainability-related data. 
  • You contribute to the development and implementation of tools that assess the environmental impact of different business options. 
  • You ensure that new facilities and processes are designed and operated with sustainability principles in mind. 
  • You provide technical input and support to integrate sustainability considerations into project design and decision-making. 
  • You monitor progress and report on the implementation and effectiveness of sustainability initiatives. 
  • You drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and practical solutions to reduce environmental impact. 
  • You actively contribute to a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration to achieve shared sustainability goals. 

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent; manufacturing-related experience is a plus. 
  • Hands-on engineering mindset with a strong personal affinity for sustainability. 
  • Able to think strategically while executing hands-on tasks such as data collection and testing. 
  • Able to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Willingness to understand end-to-end pharmaceutical (aseptic) manufacturing processes. 
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to sustainability initiatives. 
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Excel VBA or similar). 
  • Strong analytical, data management, and communication skills. 
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
