Process Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• STAR is looking for a Process Design Engineer to support complex projects in the petrochemical industry.
• Process Design works are including sprinkler systems, underground water supplies, pump installations, foam extinguishing systems, fire detection, and gas suppression systems.
• Oversee and contribute to engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, safety, budget, and quality standards are met.
• Develop new processes and improve existing ones, create and assess technical documentation and designs, support the sales team during tender processes, and coach junior and medior engineers.

Requirements

• You have a minimum of 1 year working experience and maximum 8 years of experience.
• You are based in Netherlands.
• You have a Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Strong affinity with fluid dynamics, developed through education and experience.
• Proficient in conducting and reviewing hydraulic calculations and studies.
• Familiar with industry norms, governmental regulations, and permitting processes.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
• Preferred: experience with PGS and NFPA guidelines, safety studies, scope definitions, CAD software, and hydraulic software such as FluidFlow.
