Plant Technical Services Manager

Responsibilities

• This role is leading a plant technical services department (assets, employees and technical processes), in compliance with the (inter)national standards and regulations and in line with policies regarding safety, food safety, health, environment, quality and customer service in order to achieve a cost-efficient and effective manufacturing environment. 
• This includes all elements of manufacturing including, safety, quality, maintenance, productivity to optimize the plant’s resources and production capacity.
• This role is responsible for the availability and reliability of the assets and contributing to the overall plant results by formulating and implementing technical services plans to deliver a world class sustainable manufacturing environment.
• This position directly or indirectly manages all plant technical services disciplines and functions.
• Commitment to a manufacturing strategy and delivers its execution on plant level.
• Responsibility for all technical aspects of the manufacturing performance supporting the overall plant objectives to realize the annual operating plan and budget for the plant.
• Provide technical input into processes, technology, systems, programs and support implementation of such technology to improve plant efficiencies and increase throughput and capacities of manufacturing systems.
• Responsible for the total technical services budget cost between EUR 14 mio, contributing to the total plant OPEX budget of between EUR 50 and 170 mio.
• Responsible for decisions regarding independent plant technical decisions.
• Responsible for the plants annual capital plan (value EUR between 2,2 to 5,5 mio)
• Accountable for 60 employees at plant level and between 50 and 200 contractors.
• Working in a collaborative method with other technical services managers in Europe taking into account different cultures, languages, practices, social legislation, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining the total assets between EUR 125 and 400 mio assurance value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in a plant manufacturing environment in international food organization, previous key roles: Production Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or equal.
• Experience with technical services department management.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant (food) safety and quality systems and programs.
• Outstanding knowledge of world class maintenance best practices.
• Proven track record in leading projects with members of different professional and or cultural background.
• Fluent in Dutch & English.
