Medior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• As Medior Rotating Equipment Engineer you are responsible for all engineering activities related to rotating equipment’s such as pumps, fans, compressors, turbines etc.
• You prepare Technical Specifications, Equipment Data Sheets, Requisitions and Technical Bid Tabulations.
• You will perform Vendor document reviews to check suitability of the design.
• Furthermore, you will review rotating equipment related Piping and Instrument Diagrams and detailed design drawings prepared by third parties.
• You will coordinate rotating equipment related engineering issues with the other disciplines like Process, Electrical and Instrumentation, Civil and Structural, Procurement and Construction.
• Assisting project managers in technical coordination with the Customers and performing inspections at Manufacturers shop will be part of your responsibilities.
• You will prepare hour estimates and deliver detailed planning of your own work.
• You will report engineering and design status, progress and manpower forecast to the project manager and provide technical assistance to the sales and estimating department in obtaining and evaluating Vendor quotations for proposals.

Requirements

• We seek a Medior Rotating Equipment Engineer for this role with 5-10 years of experience in EPC environment. 
• Able to start in Netherlands on July 1st, 2024.
• The engineer will need the capacity to:
  • Do all necessary engineering activities related to a variety of rotating equipment’s, such as pumps, fans, turbines, compressors etc.
  • Advise / support / assist other Rotating Equipment Engineers with the performance of their assignments.
  • Advise Department Manager Mechanical in maintaining rotating equipment engineering work instructions, specifications and standards.
  • Advise Process Engineers in selecting the most suitable rotating equipment for the specific process design.
  • Preliminary select rotating equipment items using Vendor’s selection software to enable other disciplines to perform the sizing and installation of the equipment.
  • Prepare Technical Specifications, Equipment Data Sheets, Requisitions and Technical Bid Tabulations.
  • Review Customer’s technical requirements and incorporate in project related data sheets and specifications.
  • Perform Vendor document review to check suitability of the design, including rotating equipment related Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
  • Evaluate deviations and/or alternative technical solutions proposed by Vendors.
  • Coordinate rotating equipment related issues with the other disciplines Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Furnaces, Piping, Civil, Static Equipment, Procurement and Construction.
  • Assist project department in technical coordination with the Customers.
  • Review the project schedule related to rotating equipment engineering activities.
