Mechanical / Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

• Reviews the installed mechanical work is complete and accurate for commissioning ac-tivities and is in accordance with the design documents.
• Oversees all mechanical testing to ensure that testing is fully completed and supports the overall commissioning schedule.
• Verifies all mechanical is properly documented and signed off as necessary.
• Develops mechanical punch lists and assists in rectifying commissioning critical punch list items for immediate resolution.
• Reports to the Construction/Commissioning Manager.
• Coordinates main mechanical packager suppliers.
• Witnesses commissioning

Requirements

• BSc / BEng / Eur-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university;
• Preferably Chartered Engineer or recognised equivalent status.
• Minimum of 15 years relevant work experience in an equivalent position on Petrochem-icals, polymers, chemical projects or refinery projects with working knowledge of piping design, plant layout, stress and material engineering.
• Basic knowledge of design softwares such as SP3D, Navisworks, Autocad and Mi-crostation.
