Lead Piping Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Technical coordination with clients and stakeholders regarding scope, planning, reporting, and delivery dates;
• Allocation of tasks and the preparation and monitoring of project schedules;
• Coaching, mentoring, and development of (junior) engineers;
• Reviewing and evaluating designs, drawings, and calculations of colleagues;
• Active relationship management with clients and suppliers throughout the entire project process;
• Contributing to sustainable, safe, and efficient installations that meet the highest quality standards;
• Developing conceptual and complex designs and translating client requirements into practical solutions;
• Performing on-site inspections and preparing budgets for design and implementation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in Piping & Mechanical Engineering, including 5 years of demonstrable leadership experience as a Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer with managerial responsibilities, gained within an engineering firm;
• Experience with project management, conceptual and detailed engineering;
• Knowledge of ASME and Euronorm. Additional experience with stress calculations is a plus;
• Experience with Plant 3D, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Caesar II, and/or NozzlePro;
• Excellent communication skills and a high degree of independence in the execution of your projects. You are entrepreneurial and demonstrate ownership of your projects;
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
