Lead Layout and Piping Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Piping Lead / Designer (15+ years of experience)
• A senior professional who can work largely independently on brownfield projects and confidently communicate with project stakeholders.
• Key responsibilities:
• Independently manage piping design activities within projects
• Maintain clear communication with the overall Piping Lead regarding design and project progress
• Engage directly with stakeholders across different project phases
• Primarily site modifications
• Multiple concurrent projects across different plants and project phases
• Occasional involvement in maintenance and/or shutdown support

Requirements

• Strong ability to understand project concepts, even before full development into P&IDs
• Hands-on experience with E3D and SmartPlant 3D (design, review files, drafting)
• Proven background in brownfield projects as a Piping Lead/Designer
• Experience in both early-phase and execution-phase projects
• Ability to determine the appropriate level of design detail per project phase
• Capable of making sound assumptions in early project stages when information is limited
• Experience with site visits and field measurements to verify existing conditions and incorporate these into designs

  - Hexagon Smartplant 3D
  - Autodesk Navisworks Manage/Simulate
  - Autodesk Acad
  - Aveva ERM (would be a pre)
  - SAP (would be a pre)
