Instrumentation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all instrumentation construction and installation activities on site to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in full compliance with project specifications and international standards.

• Oversee subcontractors, foremen, and instrument technicians, ensuring proper installation of field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and related systems.

• Review and interpret instrumentation drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs, cable schedules, and hook-up details to guide installation and testing.

• Monitor and verify cabling, terminations, calibration, loop checking, and commissioning activities.

• Ensure quality control and compliance with relevant codes (IEC, ISA, ATEX, etc.) and EPC/client specifications.

• Conduct daily toolbox talks and HSE briefings to maintain a strong safety culture.

• Prepare and maintain progress reports, inspection records, and punch lists, and promptly escalate any delays or technical issues to the Construction/Project Manager.

• Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, mechanical, automation) to resolve interface issues and maintain overall project schedule.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent professional qualification in Instrumentation / Electrical / Industrial Automation.

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience as an Instrument Supervisor on large EPC or industrial projects (oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy).

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning procedures.

• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, ISA, ATEX, SIL) and control systems (DCS/PLC).

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to manage multicultural teams.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset.
