Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a standard senior instrumentation engineer with significant offshore experience, ideally within FPSO projects.
• The candidate must have a strong design background and be capable of working across detailed engineering, vendor interfaces and multidisciplinary project execution.
• The Senior Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for designing and engineering instrumentation solutions that meet high standards of safety, reliability, operability and sustainability, contributing to the successful delivery of FPSO projects.
• The role covers the selection, specification, design and integration of instrumentation systems and packages in accordance with project specifications, international codes, company standards, client requirements and industry regulations.
• The engineer is responsible for delivering the assigned scope of work within agreed time, quality and budget constraints, while ensuring proper interfaces with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, automation, safety and package disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Control & Automation, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant instrumentation engineering experience.
• Significant EPC project experience.
• Strong design engineering background
• Proven experience in detailed engineering and design activities.
• Brownfield project experience is preferred.
• Offshore experience is required for standard instrumentation profiles.
• FPSO experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with topsides, offshore production facilities, platforms or FPSO-related systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with instrumentation deliverables such as instrument indexes, datasheets, I/O lists, cable/block diagrams, hook-ups, loop diagrams and technical requisitions.
• Experience with vendor management, package follow-up and technical bid evaluations.
• Understanding of control systems, safety systems and interfaces with ICSS, ESD, F&G and process control.
• Familiarity with inspection, testing, commissioning and performance monitoring activities.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
