Ensure implementation and compliance with site safety rules, regulations, and HSSE objectives. Provide HSE supervision and support to maintain a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all work follows Method Statements and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Assist supervisors with risk assessments and ensure proper site supervision.
Monitor PPE usage and compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) systems.
Support waste minimization plans and maintain records for waste and ecological data.
Report hazardous conditions and inspect tools, equipment, and lifting gear.
Facilitate site orientations and coordinate SHE&S training as needed.
Participate in SHE&S audits, inspections, and daily site walkdowns.
Investigate incidents/near misses and identify trends for corrective actions.
Advise on JSAs and hazard control strategies.
Review safety equipment needs and hazardous material storage.
Attend toolbox talks, safety meetings, and assist in resolving site hazards.
Coordinate with site medical staff for incident feedback.
Report SHE&S performance to the SHE&S Manager and share lessons learned.
Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of field experience in HSE roles
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and, ideally, in Swedish
Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Able to manage workload independently and support process improvements
Willing to engage in cross-discipline coordination and difficult conversations
Must be able to operate a company vehicle
