Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Within the department where you will be working, the focus is on modern cargo vessels of various types, built at shipyards in China and Vietnam. Over 200 multipurpose cargo vessels have already been delivered globally. These proven designs are continuously refined to maximize fuel efficiency, cargo capacity, and overall functionality and for this department we are looking for an enthusiastic, communicative and experienced Project Manager (40 hours).
• The Project Manager is responsible for the progress, execution and financial results of his projects.
• This includes coordinating and monitoring the progress of engineering activities, production and delivery planning for the benefit of our customers.
• Organizing and executing a project from design to delivery;
• Drawing up, monitoring and updating project and detailed production planning in consultation with project coordinators and contractors to draw up a global project plan;
• Regular consultation with the client and his employees about the progress of the project;
• Providing functional leadership to members of the project team to achieve an effective and efficient way of working in accordance with quality standards, environmental and safety regulations;
• Providing a technical, financial and process evaluation and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (HBO) or Master's degree, completed in the direction of Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering or relevant equivalent;
• 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in similar positions within the technical and industrial environment;
• You enjoy working in a team, are effective in planning and organizing, willing to learn new skills and you are result-oriented;
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language;
