Responsibilities

  • Support the Discipline Lead to generate and develop the work scope (fixed and variable)
  • Identification of plant defects for inclusion in final work scope (stage 3).
  • Identification and communication of all commissioning related activities associated with the work package. Work closely with the Commissioning Lead to develop and deliver suitable commissioning plans.
  • Support the Discipline Lead to identify all key service providers required to deliver the work package scope and ensure contract / procurement arrangements are in place accordingly.
  • Clearly and concisely define and communicate the specific requirements, standards, and specifications required by service providers to achieve the required outcome.
  • Ensure sufficient service provider resources have been allocated to meet the outage requirements and ultimately to achieve the project objectives.
  • Plant modification development and administration.
  • Coordination of Work and Material Planners supporting the delivery of the work package.
  • Set safety expectations, support and develop a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant H&S requirements and RWE safety initiatives.
  • Undertake comprehensive pre-outage walk-downs.
  • Prepare and issue Work Instructions (WIs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Detailed engagement with service providers to prepare and ensure the delivery of outage preparation plans.
  • Detailed engagement with Safety Controllers to ensure work package intentions are fully understood and planned, from a safety from the system perspective, accordingly.
  • Review all working parties’ safety documentation (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, lifting plans, CoSHH, rescue plans etc.) prior to commencement of work.
  • Ensure all spares are available to meet the work package requirements.
  • Ensure all services requests such as scaffolding, lagging, cleaning, lighting, waste management etc. are communicated to the Services Lead in accordance with the stage-gate process to enable the timely provision of the requested service and ensure all requests have been delivered in accordance with the work package requirements.
  • Work closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure the overall outage schedule reflects the planned delivery of the work package activities and that it is achievable.
  • Plan and coordinate permit acceptor training as required.
  • Generate, update, schedule, risk assess, and date all Work Order Cards (WOCs) as required for the delivery of the work package.
  • Onboard all working party members in accordance with RWE expectations (inductions, Safety Street etc.).
  • Identify & communicate risks associated with the work package and develop effective risk mitigation measures as required. Ensure all work package related risks are logged in the project risk register.
  • Ensure all required quality assurance and control procedures are fully defined, in place, and adhered to and ensure quality standards and specifications are clearly communicated.
  • Adherence to Project Quality Control Plan (PQP).
  • Undertake competency checks to ensure all members of the working party are suitable qualified, trained, and competent to undertake their role.
  • Attend and contribute to all outage meetings as required (planning meetings, daily coordination meetings etc.).
  • Compliance with the project’s document management system.
  • Conduct regular safety walks and ensure pro-active safety engagement from all members of the working party.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage change in accordance with the project’s change management procedures (emergent work, scope growth and reduction, unforeseen costs etc.)
  • Responsible for effective cost control and management of the work package budget.
  • Ongoing monitoring and inspection of the works to ensure the work package/s’ activities are progressed safely, to the required level of quality, within budget, and in accordance with the overall project schedule.
  • Regularly communicate work package status to relevant stakeholders. Identify and enact suitable remedial measures if work package status falls behind schedule.
  • Attend and contribute to day-start meetings to coordinate and prioritise scheduled activities and resolve any emergent issues.
  • Ensure all members of the working party are put to work safely and in compliance with RWE safe systems of work.
  • Effective interface management of work package activities.
  • Effective contract management in accordance with RWE procedures and expectations.
  • Real time contract administration (claim management, issuing of variation instructions and associated WIs/POs, SAP administration (progress updates etc.)
  • Raise and log all issues in accordance with the project’s lessons learnt process.
  • Undertake comprehensive walkdowns of all work areas upon completion to ensure the works have been completed to the required standard and that all areas have been left in a safe, clean, and tidy state.
  • Complete process safety handover documentation upon completion of work package/s.
  • Escalate any matters, to the Discipline Lead, that can’t be resolved at Work Package Manager level and might impact project delivery.
  • Delivery of all stage-gate deliverables assigned in the process.
  • Final service provider QA and engineering reports.
  • Update documentation (drawings, databases, SAP, ITPL, H&S file).
  • Inventory and condition assessment of tools and equipment.
  • Supplier account close-out.
  • Contractor performance evaluation and feedback.
  • Creation of technical reports.
  • Work management system close out (SAP).

Requirements

  • Dutch speaking
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
