Monitor day-to-day safety compliance during turnaround activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, company policies, and client expectations.
Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments across all work fronts.
Lead and participate in pre-task risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, and other critical safety permit systems.
Collaborate with operations, contractors, and project managers to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
Support incident investigation and root cause analysis; develop and track corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation of safety activities, including reports, incident logs, and compliance records.
Provide training or coaching on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and safety standards.
Serve as the on-site point of contact for HSE matters and emergency response coordination.
Ensure contractor safety plans are followed and hold all teams accountable to site safety expectations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the petrochemical, refining, or heavy industrial sector.
Experience in specifically supervising safety during turnaround or shutdown events.
Strong working knowledge of Swedish safety regulations.
Excellent observational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
