Structural Lead Designer

As an Engineer in Offshore & Shipbuilding, you play a crucial role in creating safe, sustainable and efficient projects on or offshore. From shipbuilding to floating offshore platforms.

Responsibilities

• In charge of structural design deliverables from basic till detailed engineering for offshore structures including:
• typicals for welding, penetrations, ladders, stairs, drainbox, hatch, joints, plating, grating
• Plans and trusses for main steel
• Plans for secondary steel
• Plans for tertiary steel
• supporting
• MTO
• Weight control
• 3D modeling in Tekla
• Clash checking with other disciplines

Requirements

• Bsc or Msc
• Worked for engineering company for at least 5 years
• Experienced in leading a team of structural designers in a detailed engineering project
• Minimum 4 years experience in this position
• Experienced in greenfield structural basic and detailed design in multidiciplinairy engineering teams
• Experienced in offshore platforms (jacket and topside design)
• Experienced with multidiscplinairy interfaces with Mechanical, E&I, HVA/C and piping
• Experienced with:
• - Tekla
• - Navisworks
• Good knowledge of the relevant international codes and standards
• Good cummunicative skills
• Team player
• Proficient in writing and speaking in the English language
