Structural Hull Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Structural discipline provides Structural Engineering to the Group Product Lines, which contains studies, proposals, technology development, Pre-FEED projects, FEED projects and EPCI projects.
• Structural design of tanker conversions and new build hulls of FPSO projects.
• Strength verifications of tanker conversions and new build hulls of FPSO projects
• Take on tasks and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.
• Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• Able to rebound from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.
• Agile for the new technology and sustainable developments.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e. Professional Certification) in Offshore Structures / Naval Architecture with as specialism structural analysis of floating structures
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience with the structural design.
• Experience and technical knowledge of structural analysis of global and detailed hull structures.
• Knowledge of rules of classification societies (i.e. ABS, DNV GL, BV and Lloyds).
• Knowledge in Engineering & Design of floating units in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Experience with Visual Basic for Application (VBA) programming in MS office.
• Preferably you have experience with finite element software FEMAP
• Professional communication in English
