Structural Engineer Marine (Femap)

As an Engineer in Offshore & Shipbuilding, you play a crucial role in creating safe, sustainable and efficient projects on or offshore. From shipbuilding to floating offshore platforms.

Responsibilities

• In this position, you will work on technically complex and highly challenging projects within the maritime and offshore sector. Together with clients, you translate their requirements into concrete technical specifications and corresponding budgets for the final product.
• Your responsibilities include:
• Developing hull structure concepts and basic designs
• Preparing various technical drawings such as construction plans, major structural integration drawings, modification drawings, and demolition drawings
• Coordinating the technical content of projects
• Maintaining contact with suppliers
• Acting as the central technical coordinator between different disciplines

Requirements

• Our client is a specialized maritime engineering and design consultancy operating globally on technically demanding and innovative projects, ranging from defense-related applications to offshore energy solutions and specialized vessels.
• The organization has extensive in-house expertise and provides consultancy and engineering services across all project phases, from feasibility studies and concept development to detailed engineering and site supervision.
• What is expected from you:
• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering or Structural Engineering
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, including specialist knowledge in concept and basic design
• Affinity with diverse maritime and offshore projects
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders
• A proactive attitude toward technological developments and innovation within your field
• Willingness to undergo a security screening as part of the recruitment process.
