We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Cost Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy sector, and will be responsible for managing site-level cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting to ensure strict budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control project costs at the site level in alignment with the overall project budget.
Prepare and update regular cost performance reports (weekly/monthly).
Track and analyze cost trends, variances, and forecast final costs.
Validate and process contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms and physical progress.
Support the development and control of the site budget, commitments, and expenditures.
Manage and assess the cost impact of change orders, variations, and scope changes.
Assist in preparing accurate cash flow forecasts based on project phasing and expenditures.
Interface with site engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams to capture real-time cost data.
Maintain a detailed and organized cost database, logs, and documentation for audit and control purposes.
Ensure adherence to corporate cost control procedures and support internal/external audits.
Provide input to procurement on contract cost structures and assist with tender evaluations.
Participate in progress and cost review meetings with project management and stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control roles on oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy sector projects.
Solid understanding of project cost control principles, project accounting, and budgeting.
Proficiency in cost management and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Primavera, MS Excel, or equivalent).
