Senior Structural Topsides Engineer (Contractor)

As an Engineer in Offshore & Shipbuilding, you play a crucial role in creating safe, sustainable and efficient projects on or offshore. From shipbuilding to floating offshore platforms.

Responsibilities

• Select and apply appropriate engineering methods and procedures, and optimise designs in line with project specifications, international codes, and company and industry standards;
• Plan, execute, and complete engineering activities and deliverables within agreed schedules and budgets, ensuring effective interface management;
• Deliver assigned scope of work in full compliance with contractual requirements and company internal standards;
• Apply relevant lessons learned and assess the impact of changes within and across project system boundaries;
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties in accordance with contractual and internal requirements;
• Act as Package Engineer, where assigned, with technical responsibility for the design, procurement, and manufacture of engineering packages;
• Lead engineers within the assigned scope of work;
• Act as Discipline Lead for defined scopes of work, as required.

Requirements

• Engineering Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline;
• 5–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry;
• Proven experience in Structural Topsides engineering;
• Strong capability in engineering design and calculation tools;
• Experience across concept development and detailed design phases;
• Knowledge of package engineering, manufacturing, and site engineering;
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Based in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe, with the right to work in the EU.
