Senior Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• As Senior Planning Engineer, you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• This involves collaboration with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to align project timelines and resources.
• You develop and oversee detailed project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• You coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary project data and milestones.
• You monitor and oversee project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• You prepare and oversee regular progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis, and performance metrics.
• You analyze project trends and provide forecasts to support decision-making.
• You lead planning meetings and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
• You ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• You mentor more junior Planning Engineers and support their development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• NL-based candidates preferred
• 5+ years experience in project planning within the oil and gas sector
• Analytical, strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6 preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
