Oversee and manage all quantity surveying activities for piping and mechanical works, ensuring precise cost planning, estimation, and control
Collaborate closely with the EPCM contractor to monitor project expenditures and financial progress, particularly in the piping and mechanical areas
Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and manage future project requirements in the mechanical and piping domains
Ensure strict adherence to contractual agreements and project specifications, working in tandem with the project team
Compile and present detailed progress and cost reports to the project management team
Effectively handle subcontractor claims and manage any related contractual disputes
Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, including changes in work scope and documentation related to piping and mechanical works
Participate in the tender process, preparing bills of quantities and other relevant documentation for the piping and mechanical aspects
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Significant experience in quantity surveying with a focus on piping and mechanical works, preferably within large-scale industrial or construction projects
A thorough understanding of piping and mechanical systems, construction costs, and contract management
Familiarity with Belgian construction regulations, standards, and quality requirements in the mechanical and piping sectors
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficient in relevant quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite
Fluency in English, with Dutch language proficiency being a plus
