Quantity Surveyor (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor (m/w/d) to join our team and support the successful delivery of complex construction projects in the Mainz area.
• The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for supporting the construction progress evaluation and change management process.
• Supports the development of estimates by performing quantity take-offs from plans and models.
• Develops the detailed estimate for specific work packages and validates the required documentation.
• Validates installed quantities onsite by subcontractors to support earned value management and pay applications.
• Works with the project team and subcontractor to substantiate change conditions and quantities.
• Analyzes and makes independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
• Supports vendor and subcontractor solicitation, pre-qualification, and coordination of pricing.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, construction drawings, and cost control methods.
• Proficient in using relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of project workflows across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
• Familiarity with earned value management and pay application processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
