Ensure that all inspection activities are recorded in the appropriate records.
Ensuring quality of the work for compliance with CQCP, approved ITP’s/ procedures and standards within assigned areas
Monitor Subcontractors QC resource levels to achieve quality standards according to agreed ratio
Issue status and trend reports as necessary and requested by Site Management providing suggestions on how to improve quality of welding/ NDT activities
Record deficiencies and/or incomplete works on punch items and liaise with supervisor/ superintendent to expedite necessary rectification
Identify and document Subcontractor and Supplier quality deficiencies and initiate non-conformance process as required.
Verify that materials used are in accordance with project technical documents and applicable codes and specifications.
Support QC/ turnover team for collecting relevant QC records
Requirements
Senior-level professional as a QC Inspector - Welding & NDT with experience in Oil&Gas, Petrochemical or Energy sector.
Be in possession of international current certifications for the role in compliance with IIW; PCN or CSWIP.
Be in possession of current qualification of II level NDT in compliance with ISO 9712
Be fully conversant with EN standard and AMSE (B31.3) code requirements and have a solid and demonstrated background on welding engineering (e.g. multiple days courses by internationally recognized institutes)
Previous experience in application of EN1090 (structural steel) and Pressure Equipment Directive PED (for piping) would be preferable.
