Lead mainly mechanical and electrical projects from planning through entire commissioning phase, managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
Responsible for project layout, flow charts, input for P&IDs, and design, ensuring the safety of the installation and process, while also simplifying operations (including ergonomics and automation) and maintenance, always with an eye on energy efficiency.
Oversee external providers (suppliers, integrators, contractors, etc.) to ensure alignment with project goals.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams; you will work in a team with internal discipline experts and/or external engineering firms.
Work closely with the purchasing department for the procurement of all components, devices, and services.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely execution.
Coordinate and supervise project execution and design, ensuring alignment with predefined timelines and budgets.
Requirements
5 to 10 years of relevant experience with managing electrical and mechanical projects.
Sufficient technical & practical expertise.
Understanding of safety-related issues and risk assessment within an industrial environment.
Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and execution, with a track record of managing projects to completion within set parameters.
Strong hands-on personality.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication skills and a true team player.
Work accurately with a focus on quality and detail.
Ability to think critically and take responsibility for project outcomes.
Proficient Project Management skills
Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Or equivalent through experience.
Project management certification is a plus (PMP, Prince2, ...).
Fluent in Dutch speaking and writing.
Has practical English language skills to read and understand technical documents and to conduct technical & safety discussions.
