Responsibilities

  • End-to-end management and execution of Building Automation projects, specifically related to electricity, instrumentation, and various special techniques such as fire detection, burglary detection, CCTV, access control, intercom, and gas monitoring.
  • This encompasses the design, development, commissioning, and as-built documentation of these installations.
  • Key services include translating electrical needs into designs while adhering to standards and regulations, overseeing contractors for electrical works, monitoring budgets, and defining/following safety rules in collaboration with the construction management team and EHS department.
  • The service involves providing technical input within multidisciplinary project teams (HVAC, utilities, equipment), and managing suppliers for design and commissioning.
  • Service resources also provide second-line support for building security systems, troubleshooting issues and ensuring plans remain updated

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an engineering field such as industrial, civil, or bio-engineering, or electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Perfect command of Dutch and English is often required.
  • Resources should possess extensive electrical knowledge, including norms like EN60204, and instrumentation knowledge (e.g., VSD, profibus, profinet).
  • Experience with PLC/SCADA systems (S7, WinCC, Tia Portal) is a significant advantage.
  • Critical soft skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, the capacity to work independently and as a team player, a proactive and results-focused approach, and strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or pharmaceutical environment is crucial, along with knowledge of validation and risk assessment tools like FMEA.
  • Some projects may also require flexibility for shift work or weekend coverage
