Principal Civil Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects with the finesse of a maestro.
• Mentor and inspire fellow engineers, bringing harmony and innovation to the project.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure our projects hit the high notes of client satisfaction.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, to achieve a smooth performance from start to finish.
• Stay ahead of the curve with the latest engineering techniques and technologies.
• Team up with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve technical conundrums.
• Create detailed technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Mentor and nurture junior engineers, helping them find their rhythm.  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil and structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering, with a portfolio of mega projects that showcase your virtuosity including relevant Lead roles.
• Strong technical skills and experience with Eurocode and Dutch annexes.
• Proven track record of leading engineering projects to standing ovations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in the Netherlands.
• Industrial environment and multidisciplinary experience.
• Experience in energy transition projects.
• Experience in modularization, lifting and transportation analysis.
• Experience in onshore projects.
• Experience in international projects.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Resident in The Netherlands.
• Advanced knowledge of Eurocodes and Dutch annexes.
• Experience with steel structures modularization.
• STAAD Pro knowledge.
• Offshore experience is preferable.
