We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to support the successful delivery of a major oil & gas or petrochemical & energy project. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules, providing accurate progress reporting, and supporting project controls to ensure the project is executed on time and within budget
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.
Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities into a unified master schedule.
Establish project baselines and monitor progress against schedule milestones.
Identify and analyze schedule deviations, critical path delays, and project risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with discipline leads, site teams, and contractors to ensure alignment and data accuracy.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead plans for internal and client use.
Participate in project progress review meetings and provide schedule insights to project management.
Support claims and change management processes by analyzing time impacts and supporting documentation.
Ensure planning procedures are followed in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
Interface closely with cost controllers to align schedule and cost forecasting (Earned Value Management).
Maintain detailed records of schedule versions, assumptions, and changes for audit and traceability.
