Mechanical Equipment Engineer

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, and requisitions for mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.).
• Evaluate supplier documentation, technical bids, and ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Provide technical support during all project phases — from concept and FEED to detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines (process, piping, instrumentation, etc.) to ensure equipment integration and functionality.
• Support equipment inspections, FATs, and interface management with vendors and clients.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of mechanical design processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical equipment engineering within oil & gas, offshore, or energy projects.
• Proven knowledge of international design codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO).
• Experience with rotating and/or static equipment design and procurement. Rotating is a must.
• Strong communication skills in English; able to work effectively in a multicultural team.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.
