As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for selecting appropriate engineering methods, procedures, and technical solutions within the assigned discipline scope.
  • Optimize designs in line with project specifications, international codes, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and complete discipline-related activities and deliverables within agreed timelines and budget.
  • Define and manage discipline resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the discipline scope of work is delivered in accordance with contractual obligations and internal quality standards.
  • Capture lessons learned and assess the impact of changes across project and system interfaces.
  • Manage technical interfaces with internal stakeholders and external parties such as clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Act as Lead Engineer, technical focal point, or Subject Matter Expert for assigned scopes of work.
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience within the energy, offshore, marine, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in multidisciplinary projects and technically complex environments.
  • Proficiency with engineering design and calculation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of detailed design processes.
  • Experience with package engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication activities.
  • Familiarity with marine, offshore, or comparable asset-intensive environments.
  • Understanding of reliability, operability, and safety principles.
  • Experience with subcontractor and supplier management.
  • Exposure to site engineering, construction support, or commissioning activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of hazard identification, risk management, and formal safety assessment methodologies.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Results-driven and cost-conscious mindset.
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
