Skills & experience
To excel as Lead FEM, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Over 5 years of relevant experience in ship structures, gained in the shipbuilding and/or offshore industry.
Proven experience with ANSYS (preferably APDL) Mechanical (implicit) is required.
Experience with LS-DYNA (explicit) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with ship class calculations and tools such as DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000 is a plus.
Certificate of Conduct (VOG)
Please indicate whether a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and its associated screening process has been discussed and agreed upon by the candidate. Please also specify any possible obstacles (e.g., partner outside the EU, active contacts with people in a non-EU country). Without a Certificate of Conduct in possession and presentable, the candidate cannot start with Damen Naval.
