Responsibilities

  • We are currently recruiting Sr/Lead Civil Steel Structures & Modularization Engineer to work on FEED & EPC phase (ISBL & OSBL), with experience in multidiscipline projects.
  • To present the client and its project for the Civil and Structural during the FEED contractor, EPC Contractor and Operation collaboration with the Civil and structure technical of the Civil team.
  • To provide lead management and oversight to the Structural team and inspire and develop the team's skills and qualities.
  • To take the lead role in securing work for the FEED Contractor Civil Structural team , EPC ITB presentation with regards to Civil-SS and support the other disciplines in securing work.
  • Take a lead role in the discipline workload programming.
  • Ensure the commercial interests of the Owners and the project is safeguarded.
  • To provide design proposals, professional expertise and support, working in direct collaboration with the project design teams of contractors in competently implementing the requirements of individual project briefs.
  • Perform the role of Design Team Leader (DTL) where so named in the Project Quality Plan (PQP) for the Civil Structure.
  • To contribute to the success of the Project.
  • Be able to lead a project from the inception through to the construction and handover phase, including preparing drawings, BIM models, specifications, tender and construction information, monitoring works in production and dealing with clients, contractors and suppliers.
  • Work as an integral collaborative member of a project team faithfully carrying out the activities that would be expected of a competent qualified design professional. Such duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Defining, recording and maintaining by appropriate means project brief information from all parties.
  • and/or other relevant parties to determine design input information;
  • Preparing feasibility and FEED studies,ITB studies, EPC Studies and structural and civil engineers strategy documents as necessary;
  • Preparation of tender information to include services layouts, schematics and accompanying documents i.e. specifications; generally using BIM models where practical;
  • Preparing detailed designs and/or construction details for whole (traditional) projects, buildings, elements or components, including associated specifications, schedules, calculations and the like;
  • generally using BIM models where practical;
    • Clearly communicating by appropriate means proposed solutions to all design team members and client team;
  • Attending meetings, taking, preparing, checking and issuing minutes where required;
    • Acting as the point of contact for own discipline with other Lead Designers of clients.
  • Coordinate desk study, Piling study remediation Responsibilities on Modularization:
  • Work with the construction contractor and engineering contractor teams to define the level of modularization, constructability, and layout of the facility.
  • Responsible for preparing the initial module sequencing
  • Coordinate with engineering for the Plant Layout and Piping Group in the layout of a modularized plant, the design of individual modules, and the establishment of the key modularization parameters required at the beginning of a modularized project, as well as providing an overview of module fabrication, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Contribute to the overall construction and constructability activities to achieve the successful completion of the modulization and construction aspects
  • Ensure primary success indicators are meeting the Projects safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals

  • Responsible to lead the constructability effort with the project team for not only modularization but for the overall construction execution strategy and the integration of modularization with stick-built portions of the units in shop yards fabrication as well as site stick build.
  • Complete the Heavy Haul and MOF feasibility study and follow through with the development, scope and estimate of recommended improvements
  • Work with logistics on the MOF freight profile requirements for ship frequency and discharging durations
  • Work with Subcontracts on identification of module fabricators, scope of work definition and package formation.
  • Along with the HSE Manger, manage the Team in the implementation of the Project Safety Plans, as applicable, to the Module Site activities
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of consistent procedures and systems for the integrated site team(s) specifically in the areas of site queries, design changes, and cost/ schedule/ progress reporting
  • Complete closeout activities.

Requirements

  • PMC / EPC experience in Downstream Projects
  • Leadership qualities to direct, motivate and organize the team
  • Ability to manage multiple discipline modularization and construction site team to ensure that the team deliver consistent quality works which will also meet safety, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Established competence to monitor variances from plans and conduct swift implementation of appropriate preventive or remedial measures
  • Behaviour to function in a proactive leadership
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills coupled with pragmatism/ flexibility to build good contractor relations
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • 10 + years of industry experience including 10 years of oil industry design, construction, and project execution
  • Preferred experience having worked in a large-scale, module fabrication and assembly yard on Refinery or LNG unit equipment and pipe rack modules and petrochemical.
  • Proven ability in the management of fabrication of large multi-discipline facilities.
  • Shall have EU valid work permit, 5 days only office work no remote work, starting work from 8:00 till 17:00.
