Piping Material Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Engineering department is looking for an experienced Piping Materials Engineer, who will make an important contribution to the construction and modification of chemical process installations.
• Consistency checks of supplied process data
• Prepare specifications for special piping materials such as valves, special fittings, steam traps etc.
• Submits for bid to Vendors and technical review of review the returned quotes
• Review of Vendor Documents
• Perform internal pressure calculations
• Review repair clamp designs and calculations
• Develop / review piping specifications
• Coordinate remote calculation work, if applicable
• Coordinate the project activities with piping engineers and process engineers.
• Solve production plants issues with materials, valves and corrosion issues.

Requirements

• Min. 5 years experience in piping materials engineering
• Bachelor or master degree in mechanical engineering
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of national and international regulations and codes (valve codes, AMSE B31.3, PED etc.)
• Languages, Dutch - Write, read, speak
• English - Write, read, speak
