As an Estimator, you play a pivotal role in shaping our proposals and winning new projects. You are responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex multidisciplinary offshore energy projects during tender and proposal phases. You work closely with engineers, project managers, procurement specialists, and business development to deliver comprehensive and well-substantiated cost breakdowns.
Develop detailed cost estimates for offshore platforms, substations, and energy infrastructure projects.
Analyze project specifications, technical documents, and drawings to determine project scope and estimate effort.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines to gather accurate quantity take-offs and pricing.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and benchmark prices.
Identify risks and opportunities in project costings and advise on mitigation strategies.
Support tender submissions by contributing to bid documents and pricing clarifications.
Work in close cooperation with the commercial team and proposal manager to deliver competitive bids.
Continuously improve the estimating database and cost models based on historical data and project evaluations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar estimating or project controls role within the offshore or energy industry.
Familiar with offshore construction methods, fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes.
Skilled in cost modeling, risk analysis, and use of estimating tools and software (e.g. Cleopatra, Excel, SAP).
Excellent communication skills in English
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think from a client’s perspective.
Able to work independently as well as in team settings, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
