E&I Engineer
Responsibilities
- The E&I Engineer is part of the Engineering team, providing the necessary guidance to E&I designers and support project managers in executing several investment projects. He/she works in very close collaboration with Production, Maintenance and Process Departments.
- As a member of one or more project teams, the E&I Engineer is responsible for E&I engineering of new installations and take an active role in the construction and start-up of new installations. He/she can act as a project manager for E&I projects.
- Organizes, plans and controls E&I engineering activities within the department (e.g. design, procedures, documentation)
- Expert role on E&I equipment
- Expert role on high voltage equipment
- Explores together with purchasing the market for new equipment and E&I contractors
- Assists project managers and process engineers with the right choice for E&I equipment.
- Gives input to the lead designers on E&I related issue
- Creates and maintains the E&I Standards and manages technical specifications
- Advanced/structured analysis of production equipment in support of operations and maintenance activities (e.g. troubleshooting, best practices, standards…
- Acts as a E&I project engineer for the portfolio of engineering projects
- Can act as project manager for projects with strong E&I focus and can act as the lead for E&I issues in larger projects
- Assists project managers and process engineers with the right choice for E&I equipments
- Oversees the compliance with the relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge & application of norms and regulation
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering specialized in electricity and/or instrumentation
- Typically 5-8 y experience
- Profound and broad knowledge and experience in electricity and/or instrumentation
- Good knowledge of high voltage
- Experience in a project environment and consider project management as one of your strengths.
- Skills to steer and coordinate different teams
- Proficient in Englis & Dutch
- Software tools: MS-Office, MS-Projects, SAP
