Commissioning Machinery Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Execute the activities pertaining to the pre-commissioning and commissioning of the Plant.
• Operate in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
• Develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the machineries according to the instructions of Commissioning Machinery Superintendent.
• Field checks
• Expediting closing of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (COT) priorities; Monitor and ensure the activities are carried out in accordance with the procedures and requirements.
• Ensure all safety rules are in force and are followed in field.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• Organize and manage the operations in field of the assigned team from the Sub Contractor by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in case of emergency.
• Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role during commissioning projects.
• In-depth understanding of chemical plant processes, equipment, and systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to chemical operations.
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, as effective communication is crucial for coordinating activities and interacting with a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address technical issues that may arise during commissioning.
