As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • The Operations Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the well’s programs by the team on board the Jack Up rig. The Operations Engineer will ensure that the programs comply with the law, industry standards and clients standards and manuals as well as industry good practices.
  • This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
    The client is planning the drilling, completion and clean-up of wells over a multi-year campaign. The wells include infill opportunities as well as exploration targets.
  • At least one well has a High-Pressure reservoir target, and multiple wells fall within the ERD range with ~1000m horizontal reservoir penetration.
    The Operations Engineer position will be responsible for the quality of the programs and preparation of the rig activities in cooperations with the Life Cycle Engineer.
  • The Operations Engineer will also assist the Wells Operations Team Lead in all aspects of running efficient operations such as but not limited to leading safety, ensuring active learning, managing third party contractors performance.
  • Although the position is primarily based in the office, the operations engineer is also the back up Drilling Supervisor for team in order to cover possible absence in the supervision team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in wells operations preparation.
  • Track record in wells program execution from the office.
  • Track record in continuous improvement and supporting cost management.
  • Strong Leadership skills with the ability to manage work offshore for safety and efficiency.
  • Able to independently work through the diverse tasks.
  • Good communicator and ability to adapt to the audience, ranging from rig crew to regulator inspector.
  • Experience in HPHT are appreciated.
  • Minimum certification – IWCF lvl 4 (or equivalent), Medical, BOSIET 0.5 valid for NL
  • Work schedule – 5days week office based. Flexible deployment offshore with equal time recovery.
