C E&I Engineer (Medior)

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will be responsible for the technical aspects and implementation within your field of expertise. The projects you work on range from smaller assignments to projects worth several million euros.
• During the proposal phase of projects, you will provide the necessary technical information regarding Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation so that your colleagues in Sales can prepare a solid proposal. During the sales phase of projects, you will be able to draw simplified P&IDs yourself.
• Sometimes you will work from existing specifications, but in many cases, you will discuss these directly with the client.
• Subsequently, you will develop P&IDs, Control, Electrical & Instrumentation packages, and DCS/PLC functional diagrams.
• You are responsible for specifying instrumentation, control valves, electrical components, cabling, lighting, MCC, BMS, burner installations, and DCS systems, as well as the associated engineering package.
• You are responsible for properly supervising suppliers of instrumentation and components, including panel builders.
• Ultimately, you are responsible for the technical evaluation of the bid and the associated documentation from subcontractors.
• Finally, you may also be asked to assist with testing the delivered installation on-site. 

Requirements

• You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of work and thinking, supplemented by specialized training.
• You have knowledge of measurement and control technology and a good command of Dutch and English.
• You have sufficient knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of process (petrochemical) engineering or burner systems is a definite plus.
• You must hold at least a VCA (full) certification and a Class B driver’s license; NEN 3140 certification is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, a creative mind, and a healthy dose of self-confidence are essential for an engineer to succeed in this role.
