Downstream Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• As a Downstream Process Engineer you identify process improvements, through deep process understanding and digital driven initiatives, to increase yield or process robustness
• You generate supportive data packages to support implementation on a large manufacturing scale
• You support and safeguard existing production processes by data trending and monitoring
• You create scientific/technical study protocols and reports in support of significant changes
• You perform product impact assessments upon significant deviations in the production process

Requirements

• PhD or Master in Engineering / Life Sciences, with relevant working experience in process development or MSAT-like functions
• Strong technical background in terms of large-scale biotech manufacturing equipment
• Experience in protein purification (on lab- and/or manufacturing scale)
• Flexible and a strong communicator, who is able to connect, go in discussion and find compromise with people in other departments or sites
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset, with an eye for details
• Excellent team player
• Experience with various statistical and data trending techniques
• Affinity with digital process monitoring systems (including handling of large online data sets) and data connectivity
• Languages: English and Dutch
