STAR acquires Or-Quest

General news

STAR Group (part of Parcom) has acquired Or-Quest as of 1 January 2021. With this acquisition, STAR Group has expanded its presence in various specialist markets and reinforced its position as a market leader in technical professional services provision in the fields of consultancy, staffing/secondment and project support. Or-Quest will continue to operate under its own name as an independent business unit within STAR Group, and with the retention of the existing management and team, nothing changes for engineers or clients.

Expansion strategy
The acquisition is part of STAR’s expansion strategy. Technical projects and clients have an increasing need for a one-stop shop for specialist staffing and project support. With the acquisition of Or-Quest, STAR Group has strengthened its position in the construction and infrastructure sectors in the north of the country and at the same time expanded its services and network in the region. “The acquisition creates a wider range of specialist services and project support in the north of the Netherlands, for both our clients and those of Or-Quest. This is in line with our proposition as partner of the largest players in technical industries, and increases our appeal in the candidate market,” says Sil Hoeve, CEO of STAR Group.

About Or-Quest
After its founding in 2010, Or-Quest experienced remarkable growth. Its commercial success was rewarded with an FD Gazelle twice within ten years. The organisation focuses on college and university educated engineers in construction, infrastructure and industry. In combination with STAR Group’s existing knowledge, network and experience, services will be further expanded and optimised. Jelmer Spijksma, Managing Director of Or-Quest: “It was the logical next step in the development of Or-Quest. We now have a rock-solid partner behind us, with a similar culture, and both teams are dedicated to personal and meaningful relationships with clients and candidates.”
