Senior Electrical Engineer Brownfield

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Candidate (Senior Electrical Design Engineer) must have an extensive 10-15 years of experience in oil & gas / chemical industry with at least the last 5 years spent in working in NL preferably within a production facility battery limit. Candidate must have a car and is able to travel to Neste Maasvlakte site at least 3 days a week and 4 days ocassionally as needed. Professional level of Dutch language skills are preferred. 
• To perform and lead the design work of brown-/greenfield projects according to the agreed safety, quality, scope and time
• Cooperate with other engineering disciplines in multi discipl. projects
• Cooperate with the construction department for the best design implementation.
• Active involvement in design tasks such as field survey,  feasibility/basic/detail engineering on different sites (NEPR/NESTE/NTR/SLX) 
• Participate in the overall project Basis of Design and steer towards a complete and approved E package for contractors/construction.
• Preparing and follow up Material Requests for all electrical equipment.
• To manage internal stakeholders, work-share partners (Finland/India) and suppliers in your projects
• To collaborate and network inside Neste
• To implement and develop further electrical design engineering work methods systematically
• To develop oneself in both discipline specific technical competence, and leading design work and work-share partners
• Participate in planning, manhour estimation and cost estimates
• To be able to translate and explain the effects of electrical design on other disciplines, especially instrumentation - and automation discipline.
• Take part in developing instructions/standards and way of working for the several Netherlands sites.
• Manage engineering company Electrical design team on supervision/engineering level.
• Maintaining As Built / SAP / Doc systems for securing future engineering quality.
• Interact proactively with maintenance department / Site Person Appointed.
• Have a very good understanding of instrumentation and automation interfaces with electrical design.

Requirements

• Have extensive knowledge, will maintain and further develop your own competence within the following areas.
• Fluent in electrical schedules / one lines.
• LV/MV/HV  Power distribution and studies  (load flow, short circuit analysis, cable sizing, etc.)
• Process/Field Electrification.
• Electric Heat Tracing.
• Hazardous area classification.
• Lightning / earthing
• Lighting / motor control / DCS / SCADA
• Electrical field and station lay out 
• Above based on international- and Dutch legislations for safe and reliable operation.
